NOTE:
The EGR controller is used on California market vehicles only.
PURPOSE
The exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) controller regulates the vacuum delivered to the EGR valve.
LOCATION
Mounted on the driver side strut tower.
OPERATION
The EGR controller receives 12V current when the ignition switch is "ON." The ECU controls the ground connection of the EGR controller using
varying frequencies (duty cycles) to regulate controller passage opening. This allows intake manifold vacuum to flow to the EGR valve in a
controlled manner.
