Intake Air Duct: Description and Operation
Intake Air Hoses (Turbo)
The intake air hoses lead the air from the air mass meter to the throttle body. This connection is routed from the air mass meter to the turbo charger inlet,
from the turbo charger outlet to the intercooler inlet and from the intercooler outlet to the throttle body. These connections must be air tight from outside
air, so no unmetered air by-passes the air mass meter. Unmetered air can cause a lean condition in the combustion process and damage the engine.
