Replaces TECH DCS GRAM 43-03 dated November 9, 1995.

Replacing micro-switch in automatic transmission gear selector mounting

Intermittant difficulties moving the shift lever out of "P" (park) position without using the manual shift lock override may be due to improper contact in
the micro-switch.

A service kit containing a new micro-switch, wiring and holder is available.

Material required: Service kit P/N 9181179-4.

Tools required: Wiring repair kit P/N 9814235-9

Wiring repair kit P/N 9512647-0

Preparations, 940:

Removing panels
-

Remove ashtray and housing.

-

Remove screws under parking brake lever.

-

Remove clips at front edge of panel.

-

Remove panel.

-

Remove screws in center console.

-

Pull back center console.
