Housing Assembly HVAC: Service and Repair
ECC Unit Removal

1. Disconnect battery ground lead.
2. Drain system of refrigerant.
3. Remove dashboard.

In engine compartment:

4. Disconnect heater hoses at firewall.

Clamp each hose with a hose clamp before disconnecting. Remove plate washer.

5. Undo evaporator and air receiver connections at firewall.
6. Remove air receiver/dryer from suspension strut tower.

First undo connector.

Caution:  Plug connections immediately, including air receiver connections if unit is not to be replaced.
