Washer reservoir filter

A filter is installed in the washer hose downstream of the washer pump (or pumps on 5-door models) on 1991 700's and 900's. This filter, p/n 3538564-0,
must be cleaned or replaced as required, and is considered an owner maintenance responsibility.

Cleaning/replacement of fllter

The filter is mounted in the washer hose approx. 100- 200 mm (4-8 in.) from the pump. The air filter housing must be removed to gain access to the
washer filter.

To replace the filter, undo the hose at either side and discard the original filter. Install the new filter, ensuring that the arrow is pointing in the direction of
flow. (The arrow may be somewhat difficult to see.)

If not completely blocked, the filter may be backflushed through with water or air.

Blow (with compressed air) or flush in opposite direction of flow as indicated by arrow.

Reinstall filter, ensuring that direction of flow is correct.

Reinstall air filter housing.
