BELT TENSIONER

This section describes 2 types of belt tensioner.

A3

C type

Belt tensioner with key retainer (1) (1/2" square hole) on the upper end of the belt tensioner. (For A-type mounting plate). Requires service (greasing) at
50,000 km (30,000 mile) intervals.

A4

D type

Belt tensioner with grooved retainer (2) (3/4" square hole) on the belt tensioner center.

Remarks:
Use a locking pin in the holes (3) when they are lined up to lock the belt tensioner in the service position. Use special tool P/N 9995547 (shaded in
illustration) to turn the belt tensioner. (For B-type mounting plate).
