Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair
DRAINING FUEL SYSTEM
Connect Adapter
^
Connect adapter P/N 9995484 to fuel drainage unit P/N 9812270, 9812273 and 9812282.
^
Connect adapter to valve on fuel distribution manifold in locked position (Fig 1 valve closed).
^
Start draining fluid.
^
Unlock adapter (Fig 2 valve open).
Under Vehicle
^
Lift vehicle.
^
Remove protective cap from valve.
^
Clamp together fuel leads immediately behind valve using hose pliers.
^
Connect vent hose P/N 9995480 to valve.
^
Draining system takes approx. 2 minutes.
