Air Bag: Service and Repair
Driver Side Airbag
1. Disarm SRS as described under "Air Bag System Disarming and Arming.
2. On 1994-95 models, remove air bag module to steering wheel Torx attaching screws from rear of steering wheel.

3. Carefully pull module from steering wheel, then disconnect connector, Fig. 13
4. Connect test resistor No. 998 8695 to air bag connector.
5. Loosen, but do not remove steering wheel center bolt. Do not turn steering wheel when contact reel is locked, or the reel pin will break off.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten air bag module attaching screws to specifications. After completing installation, arm SRS as described under
"Air Bag System Disarming and Arming".
