Rear Bumper Reinforcement: Service and Repair

Rear bumper rail

Operation number: 86131-3

Note! Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.

Removal

Remove the following items:

-

Shell, lower part of rear bumper.  Refer to: Rear Bumper Cover Lower Section.

Shell, upper part of rear bumper.  Refer to: Rear Bumper Cover Upper Section See: Rear Bumper Cover / Fascia/Service and Repair 

Determine the extent of the damage.  Refer to: Rear section .

Torque: M8, 24 Nm

Perform rustproofing procedures. .

Installation

Install in the reverse order.

Check whiplash protection.  Refer to: Collision protection unit from behind front seat check See: Seats/Seat Latch/Testing and Inspection.
