Use a new gasket and a new O-ring around the oil pump housing.
Bolt down the sliding sleeve on the crankshaft journal. Use: 999 5747 Socket  See: Tools and Equipment/999 5747 Socket. Press in the pump over the
sliding sleeve. Lubricate the screws for the oil pump with thread sealant, part no. 11 61 056.
Install the screws as a guide. Carefully tap in the oil pump with a rubber mallet. Tighten the oil pump crosswise. Tighten. See: Tightening torque. See:

Remove the sliding sleeve. Use: 999 5747 Socket  See: Tools and Equipment/999 5747 Socket 

Installing the crankshaft timing gear pulley

Note! The timing gear pulley can only be installed in one position on the crankshaft journal (see the illustration).

Carefully tap in the timing gear pulley with a rubber mallet.

Installing the timing belt

Install the timing belt according to: Timing Belt, Assembling See: Timing Components/Timing Belt/Service and Repair/Timing Belt, Assembling

Finishing

Checks

Start the engine. Check operation and check for leakage. Take corrective action if required.
