Preparatory work

Removing the control module

Remove the transmission control module (TCM). See: Transmission Control Module (TCM), B5254T7, AW55-50/51SN See: Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Transmission Control Module (TCM).

Removal

Removing the sealing ring

Remove the old sealing ring. Use a small, well-rounded screwdriver.

Caution! Do not damage the shaft.

Installation

Installing the sealing ring

Lubricate the sealing ring using ATF oil.
Install the sealing ring. Use drift 999 5476 PUNCH  See: Tools and Equipment/999 5476 Punch.
