The switch may be replaced without removing the door panel.
Modify a spatula by rounding its corners and edges. This is done to minimize the risk of damage to the frame around the switch.
Position a 100 mm /4 in piece of electrical tape on the spatula to protect the gap between the switch and the frame.
Move the spatula down between the switch and its frame and carefully force out the switch.
It is important to use a wide contact surface on the tool to avoid damage to the frame around the switch.
Replace the switch.
