Replacing the center console panel

Preparations 

Disconnect the battery lead. See  Battery, disconnecting See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures/Battery, Disconnecting.

Note! For information about airbags, see  Handling replaced SRS airbags/seat belt tensioners . 

Warning! Under no circumstances use an ohmmeter or other live measuring instrument to take readings on a disconnected non-deployed SRS
airbag or seat belt tensioner. There is a risk that they might deploy. 

Warning! SRS airbag modules or seat belt tensioners must never be taken apart, repaired or transferred to another vehicle.
