Volvo, 3-Coat Pearl is a 3-coat painting procedure with the following components:

Solid 1p air drying

Pearl varnish

2p Varnish
In addition to these, a colorless base coat is used together with pearl varnish to achieve the smoothing-out of the pearl coat.
It is recommended that a separate test panel is sprayed first to ensure complete color conformity. The sprayed test panel is compared with the existing
undamaged paint work on the vehicle.
