Oil Filter: Removal and Replacement

Oil/oil filter, replacing.

Oil/oil filter, replacing

Drain the engine oil. 

 Lift up the car and get an oil container. 

Position the container under the engine oil trough.

Remove the oil plug.
Drain the engine oil.
It is easier to drain the oil if the engine is at operating temperature.

Warning!  Hot oil can scald. Avoid skin contact with engine oil. Applies in particular to contaminated engine oil. Immediately wash hands and
any skin that has been in contact with oil. Use a suitable cleaning agent and warm water. Wear protective gloves when working with engine oil. 

Remove the oil filter housing 

Install: 

-

the oil plug. Tighten to  38 Nm . Always use a new sealing washer.

Position the container under the oil filter.
Remove the oil filter housing.

Replace the oil filter insert
