Battery positive cables to starter motor/generator, replacement

Removal 

Removing engine compartment components 

The new cables must be drawn parallel to the existing ones. The cable terminals on the old cables must be cut off and the ends of the cables insulated.

Remove:

the battery negative cable

-

the battery positive cable

-

the cables connected to the battery positive cable at the battery. (Not applicable when replacing the cable between starter motor and generator).

Removing the cooling fan (applies to vehicles without A/C)
