Replacing the gear selector assembly 

Removal 
Removing the gear selector knob 

Turn the circlip inside the boot 1/4 turn. Pull the boot downwards.
Pull the knob off the gear selector.

Removing the center console 
See Replacing the center console.

Removing the top panel and boot 
Remove: 

-

the lamp from its holder

-

the top panel from the gear selector assembly. Detach the rear edge of the panel first.

Removing the connector from the mode selector switch and from the gear selector assembly solenoid 
Removing the cable from the gear selector assembly gear selector
