Power Trunk / Liftgate Lock Switch: Service and Repair

Trunk/tailgate switch

Removing trunk/tailgate switch

-

Remove boot lid cover (S40), see Replacing boot lid components See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Trunk Lid Components.

-

Remove tailgate cover (V40), see Tailgate components, changing .

-

Remove the connecting rod from the lock (push locating pin in and separate parts from one another).

-

Undo the (3x) lock mounting bolts ( A) and remove the lock.

-

Remove connectors.

-

Replace complete lock, transfer connecting rod.
