Seat Back: Service and Repair
Rear Seat Backrest

Removing Backrest 

Remove: 

-

Fold the left and right seats forward.

-

Remove bolts on left (1x) and right (2x) from the support.

-

Remove the nut under the lid in the boot.

-

Remove center seat belt mounting.

-

Fold right backrest forward if the left side is to be removed.

-

Unlock left backrest and remove with supports.

Installing Backrest  

Install: 

-

Install backrest.

NOTE:  Support for the right side should rest on the support for the left side.

-

Position the backrest in the lock before tightening the nuts.

NOTE: 
-

V40: Take care about the reinforcement plate and ad if not fitted.

-

If the left side is to be installed, ensure that the seat belt mounting comes under the support.

Torque: Back screws 21 Nm, seat belt 48 Nm.
