Oil Pan: Removal and Replacement

Replace the oil pan

Special tools:

 951 1205 See: Tools and Equipment/951 1205 

Preparations

Remove the oil dip stick and pipe. Raise the car.
Drain the engine oil. See  Replacing the oil and oil filter See: Oil Filter/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement.
Remove the support brace between the control arms.

Removing the front-rear member

Remove:

-

the front and rear splash guards under the engine

-

the heat deflector plate in front of the output shaft

-

the nuts from the engine mountings at the front and rear edges

-

four screws (two long and two short)

-

the two screws from the engine mountings. Remove the front-rear member.

Removing the oil cooler
