Remove:
-
screws (2) retaining the fuel damper. Push the damper out of the way

hose clamps and hoses (3)
-
hoses (4) from fuel line
-
pipe from clamp (1).
Under the car
Raise the car.
Remove the splashguard. See Replacing heat exchanger See: Auxiliary Cabin Heater Housing/Service and Repair.
Detach fender liner. See Replacing the water pump See: Service and Repair/Replacing The Water Pump
Remove fuel line from pump.
Installation
Fuel line
Reinstall in reverse order.
Final check
Test heater and Check heater's function. See Test running the additional heater / parking heater See: Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and
Diagnostic Overview.
Check for leakage at both coolant hoses and fuel lines.
Top up coolant if necessary.
Check that no diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) have been set during the repair work.
