Parking Brake Warning Switch: Removal and Replacement
Replacing the switch on the parking brake lever
Preparations
Ignition off.
Remove the parking brake lever according to Replacing the parking brake lever assembly See: Brakes and Traction Control/Parking Brake
System/Parking Brake Lever/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Replacing The Parking Brake Lever Assembly
Removing the switch

Pull the parking brake until the switch is released from the handle

Make a punch mark in the rivet
-
Drill out the rivet. Use a 5 mm drill bit

Remove the switch.
Installing switch
