Hose/Line HVAC: Procedures

Pipes And Hoses 

Introduction 

WARNING:  Follow applicable safety regulations for working with air conditioning systems.

NOTE: 

-

Read the instructions on slow and fast leaks.

-

Always use new O-rings greased with AC compressor oil.

-

Always plug pipes and connections when working with climate control systems.

Overview Of Pipes And Hoses 

A1: Hose/pipe between the compressor and evaporator

B1: Pipe between the evaporator and coupling

B2: Hose between the coupling and the refrigerant reservoir

C: Pipe between the refrigerant reservoir and the condenser

D: Hose between the condenser and compressor

Preparation 

NOTE: 

-

O-rings must always be replaced when replacing pipes.

-

Hold the pipe in place with your hand when removing and tightening to avoid damaging couplings and pipes.

Bleed the refrigerant from the system.
