Remove: 
-

the left mounting bracket (only applies to left hand drive cars)

-

the right mounting bracket (only applies to right hand drive cars)

-

the oil pipes from the steering gear housing.

Collect the fluid

-

the O-rings

-

the pipe bracket

-

the right mounting bracket (only applies to left-hand drive cars)
the left mounting bracket (only applies to right hand drive cars).
first slide the steering gear housing to the right.

Then lift the housing down from the car (only applies to left-hand drive cars). first slide the steering gear housing to the left. Then lift the housing
down from the car (only applies to right-hand drive cars).

Checking the mounting for the steering gear housing 

Clean the mating surfaces for the steering gear housing.
Check and clean the rubber boots.

Caution;  The rubber boots are bonded onto the steering gear housing and will be damaged if removed.

Install new rubber boots if necessary.
