Flex Plate: Removal and Replacement
Replacing the carrier plate

Removing
Preparatory work
Remove the transmission according to Replacing the transmission, AW55-50/51SN See: Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Replacing The Transmission.
Removing the carrier plate
Remove the engine speed (RPM) sensor with the bracket. Place it to one side.
Block the carrier plate using gear sector 999 5112 GEAR SECTOR See: Tools and Equipment/999 5112 Gear Sector.
Remove:

all screws
-
the carrier plate
-
gear sector 999 5112 GEAR SECTOR See: Tools and Equipment/999 5112 Gear Sector.
Check the crankshaft seal for leakage.
To replace the crankshaft seal, refer to the car model and year.
