DESCRIPTION:

To extend the life of the front wheel hub a special splash shield has been developed to be installed on the drive shafts. This part will protect the front
wheel hub from water intrusion and possible corrosion inside the bearing.

PRODUCT MODIFICATION:

The splash shield will be introduced in production from structure week 2010w48. A service splash shield is also available for spare parts.

SERVICE:

If the front wheel hub needs to be replaced then it is recommended to install a splash shield on the drive shaft to extend the life time of the new front
wheel hub.
