the three-way catalytic converter (TWC) mounting member

the SIPS (side impact protection system) member
-
the heat deflector plate over the steering gear
Remove the pipe coupling at the steering gear.
Pull the pipe/hose towards the right wheel arch until the end with the nipple can be pulled forward.
Remove the hose.
Note! Make a note of the routing of the hose.
Installing the return hose
Note! For tightening torques, see: Tightening torque See: Specifications.
Pull the hose up through the engine compartment.
Press the pipe/hose towards the right-hand wheel arch until the pipe can be reinstalled in the steering gear without damaging the O-ring.
Install screw (M8).
Note! Use a new O-ring.
Install:

the heat deflector plate over the steering gear. Tighten. See: Tightening torque See: Specifications.

the three-way catalytic converter (TWC) mounting member (M10)
-
the SIPS (side impact protection system) member (M8)
-
the splash guard under the engine (M8).
Tighten the steering gear (M10). See: Tightening torque See: Specifications.
Lower the vehicle.
Install the hose on the oil reservoir.
Finishing
Warning! Avoid skin contact with the oil.
Note! Use Volvo power steering fluid, P/N 1161529 to ensure the correct oil quality.
