Upholstery Back Rest, Replacing

Upholstery back rest, replacing

Note! To carry out this work a zip fastener is required. This is not included in the upholstery but is ordered separately. 6 mm zip fastener part
number: 3533976 is used and in some cases zip fastener 4 mm, part number: 9459316

Replacing backrest upholstery 1

Remove:

-

the backrest. See Backrest See: Seat Back/Service and Repair/Backrest  Backrest See: Seat Back/Service and Repair/Backrest 

-

the centre armrest / integrated child seat. See Center arm rest/integrated child seat See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Arm Rest/Service and
Repair/Center Arm Rest/Integrated Child Seat.

Take out and open the zip fastener lock.

Remove:

-

the edge trim panel in the opening for the hatch for long loads

-

release from the hatch opening by bending the tongues upwards.

Replacing backrest upholstery 2

Remove:

-

the central head restraint. See Center head restraint See: Head Rest/Service and Repair/Center Head Restraint 

-

the central head restraint sleeves. See Central head restraint sleeves See: Head Rest/Service and Repair/Central Head Restraint Sleeves 

-

the hatch for long loads. See Lock the hatch for long loads See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Seat/Lock the Hatch For Long
Loads 

-

the outer head restraint. See Outer head restraint See: Head Rest/Service and Repair/Outer Head Restraint.

Remove the 7 half moon clips at the bottom edge of the backrest.
Open the other zip fastener.
Remove all half moon clips from the reverse of the upholstery.
Slide off the upholstery.
