Checking reclining seat 

Run/push the seat to its rear most position.
Run/screw the seat to its forward position.
Fold the seat back completely forward.
Run/screw the seat back backwards so that the seat rises at the trailing edge.
Check the whiplash unit by the rivet in the seat's trailing edge.
If there is no visible space between the rivet and the fitting, then the whiplash unit is functional.

Install in the reverse order.

If there is a visible space between the rivet and the fitting, then the whiplash elements on both sides of the seat shall be replaced ace. to: Whiplash unit,
