Installing the upper mounting for the shock absorber
Applies only to S60 and S80:
Install:

the nut for the upper mounting for the shock absorber. Use socket:999 5500 SOCKET UPPER NUT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER See: Tools and
Equipment/999 5500 Socket Upper Nut Rear Shock Absorber

soundproofing.
Fold back the front edge of the side panel in the cargo compartment. Install the clips.
Fold the rear seat backrest back into position.

Finishing
Raise the vehicle. Remove the spring striker plate:999 7079 striker plate See: Tools and Equipment/999 7079 Striker Plate and the restraining strap
between the control arms.
Lower the vehicle.
Check and adjust the alignment of the headlamps in accordance with: Headlamps, aligning See: Lighting and Horns/Headlamp/Adjustments.
