Brake Pipes, Replacement

Brake Pipe, Rear Wheel

Brake pipe, rear wheel, replacing 

Preparations for replacement. 

Applies to both left and right sides 

Collect the brake fluid 
See Replacing the brake fluid (using a bleeding unit)

Replacing the brake pipe for the right rear wheel 

Preparations 

Remove the 4 screws holding the heat deflector onto the central cross member.
Drill out the 2 blind rivets holding the rear heat deflector to the cross member.
Remove the 2 screws and nuts holding the exhaust pipe onto the rear cross member.
Slide the rear heat deflector forward over the front heat deflector to expose the right brake pipe.

Remove the brake pipe from the clips and mountings 

Remove:
-

the brake pipe from its clips

-

and disassemble the brake pipe at the joint

-

the screw at the mounting for the fuel filter. Fold the mounting down.

Remove the bracket and the brake pipe
