Check relay 212 (2/5).
When the seat-belt reminder is activated, a ticking sound can be heard from the relay. If no sound is heard, this means that the relay has become stuck
again, in which case it should be replaced.

Ignition off.
Check relay 212 (2/5) #5 for a short circuit to ground, as described in See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests
and General Diagnostics/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Checking Wiring and Terminals - Permanent Faults
Do the necessary corrective action.

Disconnect the control unit connector.

Ignition on.
Check the wire between control unit connector #34 and relay 212 (2/5) #6 for an open circuit, as described in Checking wiring and terminals -
Permanent faults.
Check the ground wire for relay 212 (2/5) #2 for an open circuit, as described in Checking wiring and terminals - Permanent faults.
