Knock Sensor: Service and Repair

REPLACING KNOCK SENSOR (KS)

Removing knock sensor (KS)

Drain the fuel injection system forwards of the fuel filter.
Remove
- 

the intake manifold between the front cover plate and the air cleaner (ACL) housing

- 

intake manifold between the air cleaner (AC L) and throttle body (TB) with vacuum hoses

- 

throttle body (TB)

- 

vacuum hoses to intake manifold, left-hand side

- 

the fuel rail cover

- 

the ignition coils cover, left-hand side

- 

the crankcase ventilation hose from the top

- 

fuel rail

- 

fuel delivery hose from fuel delivery pipe

- 

air distribution pipe
