Pull out the catch.

-

Hold it out while installing the gear selector.
-

This is so that the push rod locates correctly.

-

Pull up on the boot on the knob so that it engages in the locking.

-

Pull up the locking sleeve on the gear selector knob.

-

Check that the gear positions are working.
