Exposing the cable harness

Remove:

-

the center console. See Center console, replacing See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Center Console,
Replacing 

-

the radio. See Radio cassette player, replacing See: Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc/Radio/Stereo/Service and Repair/Radio Cassette Player,
Replacing 

-

the phone module (PHM). See Telephone module/-control module (PHM), changing See: Cellular Phone/Communications Control
Module/Service and Repair 

Disconnect the connector at the SRS (supplemental restraint system) control module.

Repairing cable harnesses

Note! If an airbag(s) has deployed, the cable harness must be checked. See Checking the collision cable See: Testing and Inspection/Component
Tests and General Diagnostics/Checking the Collision Cable.

Note! If an airbag(s) has deployed, the status of the reserve battery must be checked. See Checking the reserve battery See: Cellular
Phone/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Checking Backup Battery.

The following terminals are for Volvo On Call:

The connector at the SRS (supplemental restraint system) control module: Terminal B28 /yellow/white cable).
Connector at the keypad: Terminal 17 (Yellow/white cable).
