Press the cable for the passenger compartment connector socket into the clamp.

Insert the radiant heat protection (1) from the kit onto the cable for the passenger compartment connector socket

Thread the radiant heat protection up to the clamp on the power steering bracket

Adjust the length of the radiant heat protection up to the lead-in the cowl panel. Cut to a suitable length

Secure the radiant heat protection in position. Use two tie straps (2) from the kit.

Insert the cable for the passenger compartment connector socket through the rubber grommet into the passenger compartment

Lubricate the rubber grommet to facilitate inserting the cable. Use low temperature grease (P/N 1161417-9).
