Removal
Remove the air cleaner (ACL) housing
Brake pipe master cylinder / ABS unit, replacing See: Brakes and Traction Control/Hydraulic System/Brake Hose/Line/Service and Repair/Brake Pipe
Master Cylinder / ABS Unit, Replacing.
Remove the left front wheel
Remove the center console

Parking Brake Lever.
Remove the transmission cable from the bracket and from the lever at the transmission
Remove:

the ball joint for the gear selector cable from the lever using jimmy bar999 7077 Jimmy bar See: Tools and Equipment/999 7077 Jimmy Bar

the gear selector cable in the bracket. Press the catch using a screwdriver. Pull the transmission cable up

Remove the gear selector cable from the clips on the side member.
Pry the clips apart.
Remove the gear selector cable
