Note! On a number of cars the gear selector assembly stop is secured with another two rivets. This gear selector assembly stop must be replaced
with a new gear selector stop assembly (which has a yellow lock pin).

Drill out the rivets.
Knock out the blind rivets using a drift.
Press in the four catches on the side. Pull the gear selector assembly stop straight up.
