Resetting The Service Reminder Indicator (SRI)

Resetting the service reminder indicator (SRI)

Note: All doors, hood and trunk are required to be closed in order to perform this procedure successfully.

Hint: It is also possible to reset the service reminder indicator via VIDA vehicle communication.

Carry out the following procedure to reset the service reminder indicator:

Ignition Switch position I.

Press and hold the Trip Odometer Reset Button. 

NOTE: In some case, a rubber plug is used in place of the Trip Odometer Reset Button. A suitable tool will be required to remove the rubber plug
and press the Reset Button.

While holding Trip Odometer Reset Button in pressed position, immediately place Ignition Switch to position II.

IMPORTANT! It is critical to Immediately place the Ignition Switch to position II, after pressing the Trip Odometer Reset Button

Hold Trip Odometer Reset Button in pressed position until Information Lamp begins to flash or until the Service Message is reset.

Release Trip Odometer Reset Button within 4 seconds, from the time the Information Lamp starts to flash or the Service Message has reset.

IMPORTANT! It is critical to release the Trip Odometer Reset button within the allotted 4 seconds after the Information Lamp flashes or a reset
message appears. Failure to do so, will result in an unsuccessful reset.

The instrument cluster will beep when resetting has been successful.
