DVD Player: Testing and Inspection

Check the Switch for the DVD

Check the switch for the DVD

Checking the fuses and the power supply

Check that the fuses for the M2D control module and DVD unit are intact and that there is power supply to the fusebox.
The voltage must be approximately 12 V.
The fuses are positioned under the rear center armrest.

Checking the M2D control module, when the DVD LED does not light in the pressed in position

Check the voltage between N3-1 and N1-13. See positions 3 and 1.
The voltage must be approximately 12 V.
Check the cable between the DVD switch and connectors N2 and N3 on the M2D control module. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to
ground. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Checking the M2D control module when the DVD/TV position cannot be changed

Check the voltage between N2-4 and N1-13.
The voltage must be approximately 12 V, when the switch isnotheld pressed in.
Check the voltage between N2-4 and N1-13.
The voltage must be approximately 0 V, when the switch is held pressed in.
Remedy as necessary.
