Open-circuit, short-circuit to supply voltage or short-circuit to ground in the cable.

Checking the wires and components
Disconnect contact reel from SWM control unit.
Check resistance between B1 and B2. The resistance should be infinite.
Check resistance between B1 and B3. The resistance should be infinite.
Check resistance between B2 and B3. The resistance should be infinite.
Check wire B1 between contact reel 1 for an open circuit as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault See: Powertrain
