Remove the door panel. See Panel, front side door, replacing See: Front Door Panel/Service and Repair/Panel, Front Side Door, Replacing 

Unhook the mechanical cable at the lock.
Open the lock hooks.
Lift out the mechanical cable.

Install:

In reverse order.
