Remove:

the connector

wiring
-
the spring. See Tension spring See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Second Generation Power Seats/Tension Spring.
Remove:
-
two plus two screws on the right hand side of the transmission
-
two plus one screws on the left hand side.
Installing the height adjuster
Install:
-
two plus one screws on the Left hand seat
-
two plus two screws on the right hand side of the transmission

Note! Removed seat rails must always be checked for movement. Use Vernier calipers to measure from the fixed to the moving component. Both
rails should have the same measurement. If not, adjust one of the rails. If the rails do not have the same measurements the seat does run
parallel. This leads to increased wear and noise.
