Checking the fuel gauge sensor

Checking the wires and connectors

Check the wires between:

fuel gauge sensor connector 5 and Rear Electronic Module (REM) A02 ( A2)
fuel gauge sensor connector 6 and Rear Electronic Module (REM) A10 ( A10)
fuel gauge sensor connector 7 and Rear Electronic Module (REM) A8 ( A8)
for an open circuit as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control
Systems/Testing and Inspection/Diagnostic Trouble Code Tests and Associated Procedures/Related Tests, Information and Procedures/Checking Wiring
and Terminals. Permanent Fault and short circuit to voltage supply as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault See: Powertrain
Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Diagnostic Trouble Code Tests and Associated Procedures/Related Tests,
Information and Procedures/Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Also check the connector involved for contact resistance and oxidation as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault See: Powertrain

Information and Procedures/Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Do the necessary corrective action.
