Removing the shock absorber bearing

Remove the spring strut. See Spring struts, front, replacing See: Front Suspension/Spring Struts, Front, Replacing

Secure the spring strut in a vise
-
Remove the nut for the shock absorber bearing. Use socket 999 5467 SOCKET See: Tools and Equipment/999 5467 Socket and a 3/8"
Torx-wrench as a counterhold

Remove the shock absorber bearing.
Checking components
-
Check that the spring strut components are undamaged. Replace if necessary.
Installing the shock absorber bearing
Install

the shock absorber bearing in reverse order
