Front Door Latch: Service and Repair
Lock Mechanism Front Side Door, Replacing

Removing the lock mechanism from the front side door
The side window must be closed.
Remove the door panel. See Panel, front side door, replacing.
Only move the run-off profile to one side. See Run-off profile and bracket.
CAUTION: For vehicles with deadlocking, the cover must be removed. See Handle, outer, front side door, replacing.
Remove the guide molding from the guide rail.
Drill out the blind rivet for the guide rail.

Remove the guide rail by pulling it straight downwards.
