Install seal.

Use drift 999 5476 to tap home.

Install left-hand side seal. Use drift 999 5476 to tap home.

Mount selector link on shaft and tighten to 15 Nm (15 ft lb).

Install gear position sensor.

Ensure that wiring is positioned correctly.

Reconnect rear oil pipe.

Adjust gear position sensor.

Reconnect battery ground lead.

Check fluid level. Grade of fluid: ATF fluid that complies with the specifications for Dexron II E and Ford Mercon or Dexron III and Ford
Mercon.
