Install gear selector unit in car.

Position wiring under center panel.

Install unit. Tighten mounting screws to 8 Nm (6 ft lb).

Install a new gear selector knob and plastic ring.
NOTE: Do not reuse old knob.

Reconnect connector (illustration shows location on 1993 model).

Clip wiring at same points as before (if applicable).

Cars with key lock function:

Connect cable to gear selector unit
-
Move gear lever to position P.

Install cable snap ring.
