Rear Door Window Glass: Service and Repair

Rear Door Window Mechanism 

Replacing rear door window mechanism 

Removing rear door window mechanism 

-

Remove the door panel.

-

Remove the insulation partly.

-

Wind down window and remove securing screws (A) (2x).

-

Push window upwards and secure to the top with tape.

-

Remove window mechanism mounting (B) (4x bolts).

-

Remove mounting by winder or motor (C) (3x bolts).

-

Electric window: undo connector and remove window mechanism through the top gap.

-

Remove mechanism, turn mechanism in the door and remove it via the upper top gap.

NOTE: 

-

First take out the under side, then the upper side and finally the mechanism.

-

On electric windows, first turn the mechanism and remove through the top gap with the motor first.

-

The window mechanism is only supplied as an assembly.

Installing rear door window mechanism 

-

Install the mechanism in the door (through the top gap).

NOTE:  First place the under side, then the upper side and finally the mechanism.

-

Electric window: use grease in the connector.

-

Attach the connector.
