Install

the brake pedal. Press in the power brake booster if necessary

the hinge bolt, the spring washer and the nut (manual transmissions): install the hinge bolt from the outside. Tighten to 45 Nm. Check that the
movement of the brake pedal is unimpeded

the pin, ring and retaining spring on the support rod.
Installing components
Install
-
the vacuum reservoir in cars with cruise control. Tighten to 10 Nm

the two nuts. Install the relay holder and the control module. Tighten to 10 Nm

the dashboard
-
the battery negative lead.
Checking the stop lamp switch
Check that the stop lamp lights when the brake pedal is pressed down approximately 5 mm.
If necessary, adjust the stop lamp switch. See Stop lamp switch, adjustment See: Lighting and Horns/Brake Light Switch/Adjustments.
